Feb 12, 2011 11:34 AM in response to TylerJHby Martin_UK,Take it back to your local Apple store, there's one in Brighton if you can get there? -
Feb 12, 2011 7:50 PM in response to TylerJHby TylerJH,But it doesn't happen extremely often an I'd feel a bit silly not being able to prove it at the store. -

Feb 13, 2011 1:33 AM in response to TylerJHby Martin_UK,Then don't take it back and learn to deal with it.
Seriously, the iPad isn't a user fixable device so you have two options, take it take it back and explain the issue, showing the Apple store staff the images you have or don't take it back and accept it'll happen from time to time.
Given the price of an iPad I'd have been straight back to Apple asking for a replacement. -
Feb 13, 2011 3:34 AM in response to TylerJHby TylerJH,Ok, I'll try and take it in the week.
Would apple still repair it if I didn't buy it from their store? -
Feb 13, 2011 3:41 AM in response to TylerJHby Dive junkie,If you bought it from Apple, then yes they will accept it.
If you bought it from PC World, then no they won't.
I hope this helps. -
Feb 13, 2011 3:52 AM in response to TylerJHby TylerJH,Ahh man. Then why does it still say I am covered until October on the serial checker? -
Feb 13, 2011 3:57 AM in response to TylerJHby Dive junkie,Tyler, where did you purchase your iPad from??
I'm getting one soon too.

Feb 13, 2011 4:06 AM in response to TylerJHby Dive junkie,Then you need to take it back to Curry's as your 'contract' is with them, and their responsibility to 'look into it'
Don't let them fob you off by saying "It's and iPad, you need to take it to Apple" -
Feb 13, 2011 4:13 AM in response to TylerJHby TylerJH,On the Currys website it said they only cover faulty items within 21 days of purchase.
I bought mine in December. -
Feb 13, 2011 4:18 AM in response to TylerJHby Dive junkie,If you purchased it brand new, then they have to honour a 12 month warranty with it.
Doesn't matter what their website says, take it back and demand they look into it.
Once they do, you may be without your iPad for a while.
And while we're on the subject of repairs, they have to return it to you within a 'reasonable' time, even if a timescale hasn't been discussed or mentioned.
Take the FULL name of the advisor who serves you, and make details rotes of what they say and tell you, AND what you have asked of them. -
Feb 13, 2011 4:28 AM in response to TylerJHby Martin_UK,While Dive junkie is right that your contract is with Curry's you can take it back to Apple if you like, I'd suggest doing so as their staff are likely to be a lot less helpful than those at Curry's.
