I'm trying to print borderless on both 6x4 and 5x7 in iphoto. I cannot seem to get an exact borderless print even if i put custom sizes in.
I'm using a Canon Pixma ip5200R.
The only software I have on my new Mac is Tiger 10.4.3 and iLife.
Can anyone help in this?
Thanks

    Hi Lori
I have tried all that I can think of. One thing I forgot to mention is that the best i have had the Border is only on one end of the photo. About 5mm of white is showing. I have had 2 edge's white also.
I have always used pc's and have a good idea how to set up printing instructions but this is really starnge.

To tell you the truth, I don't print my images through iPhoto. I use the software that came with my Canon printer and it prints perfect borderless prints everytime. See if your printer came with Easy-PhotoPrint 3.3

A couple of things that can give that white area are:

1 - not cropping to the right size beforehand
2 - not selecting 4x6 borderless under Paper Size in Print Setup
3 - and not selecting your printer in both the Page Setup window and iPhoto's print window.

Even when all is setup properly the little preview window will show some white at one edge of the image but will print OK.

    Hi Lori

Yes I have Canon easy photo software not sure which version but the printer is a Pixma ip5200R. I had a look at that but could not find my images to import into it. Do you know how I find the photo's stored in iPhoto and bring them accross?

I share/export the images I want to print to a folder on the desktop. I then navigate to the desktop in the folder structure in the left column. It's an extra step I know, but I have good results from the printing that I don't care about the extra step. After I print the photos I just delete the folder of images on the desktop.

On my pc I use Elements do you think the Mac version would be a good choice for editing my photo's?

    Thanks for your help

The Mac version of Elements is great. Set up Elements as the external editor in iPhoto Preferences and from now on all you have to do is double click an image to have it open in Elements. Just make sure to save a flattened image with the same name and edits will be reflected within iPhoto when the image is "saved" (do not use "save as")
