Q: iPhone Randomly Losing Service

More and more frequently my iPhone is loosing service in areas I normally have it. I will just pick it up and notice that in the upper left hand corner it will say "no service". Once I shut down and reboot, the service bars are where they should be. Any ideas on why this is happening? Is it happening to anyone else? It just ***** because I never know that it has lost service until I look at the phone and there have been several occasions where I have missed many calls or text messages-- very frustrating!

If you had AT&T I would blame the carrier. With Verizon it is less likely, but even Verizon has random outages. If you have the problem everywhere it is most likely the phone; if it is only in one location I would check with Verizon.

I'm having the same problem, but only at home and within a mile of my house. At my office or other places it works fine. ATT has done nothing but make me angry about the issue. It has been 10 days since I first called in about it. It has escalated to the point that I had a critical case that they claim is being resolved today. It is 10:30 PM and my 3g service still comes and goes when at home.

I'm so sick of ATT and I'm hoping Verizon will be even a tiny bit better and able to admit that their network has faults....unlike ATT.

Note that the OP with a problem is on Verizon.

That is a good point. It does seem to be happening mostly at my house (though I get pretty solid reception there), so I will have to take note if it is happening elsewhere.

I have had the same problem, only at home is where i dont have service and then when i go to town it works just fine.. I have done everything I can do but the thing is its not ATT its the phone itself, all of my family has iphones and everyone else has perfect service here. I went to ATT and they said i will have to call apple because it is possibly the sim card reader in the phone so i need to see what they say about it, they will more than likely just replace the phone. I am calling apple in a few minutes.

I am still having this problem as well. My verizon service on the 4s is atrocious. My service will randomly cut out and show me 1 bar with a circle and wont come back for about 2-5 minutes... even when I change my location...

This is extremly frustrating. Anyone else still having this issue?

I Have sprint and out of nowhere lost service. I was browsing maps and when I lost service I switched to wifi and I got my service back. Highly unusual for an iPhon 6 or maybe sprint messed up somewhere along the line.
