For the certificate issue..
Open System Preferences / Date & Time. Make sure you have the correct Time Zone selected.
Delete the current Bookmarks you have for any sites with Certificate issues. Then navigate to those sites. If you don't have any Certificate issues, from the menu bar click Bookmarks/Add Bookmark. The old Bookmark(s) may have been a cached page that needed updating.
Empty your Safari cache more often. From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Empty Cache.the pages upload VERY slowly, if at all
Make sure there's enough free space on the startup disk. Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. *Make sure you always have a minimum of 15% free disk space.*

From the Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab. Click: Show Cookies
Delete all cookies or just ones for the sites you mentioned.
Quit Safari (Command + Q) then relaunch Safari.
I tried editing my original post but couldn't make it in time. Sorry...

Feb 24, 2016 3:52 PM in response to Carolyn Samitby tessafromarmidale,Hi Carolyn Samit,
Thanks for your tips on bookmarked sites with certificate issues, I really appreciate it! Are there any ways to stop Safari from asking to verify sites that are not in use or in Bookmarks? I'm trying to watch videos online through DailyMotion (not a bookmarked page), and for some reason Safari continuously asks me to verify sites that are not in use. It's very annoying as I would just like to watch without constantly being interrupted.
Thanks a lot,
Tess
