The word processor that I used from that era was MacWrite. It's possible that WordPerfect would work. WordPerfect is a word processing application. At the height of its popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s, it was the de facto standard word processor, but has since been eclipsed in sales by Microsoft Word. WordPerfect version 3.5e for Mac has been made freeware by Corel, and can be downloaded here http://main.system7today.com/software/wordperfect/wordperfect.html . It is a great, free alternative to Microsoft Word!

How close are you to Chicago? Big cities should have recyclers that can help you with legacy products. Seattle has a great store that sets aside old mac printers for us old timers. Paying shipping is probably more that the printer and computer are worth. Find a user group as the next alternative. Or, come to the northwest. We have some great recyclers who see the value of reuse as a form of recycling.
