I have the same problem, and my touch is just two weeks old. Only encountered this problem after doing the OS update last night. So is this going to be resolved or what???

This is a user-to-user help forum. Apple is not reading these forums for bug reports. We are all users here and no one knows when this issue will be resolved.

To all who are having this problem please report it directly to Apple at this address: http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipodtouch.html.

Just posting here does not guarantee that Apple is notified of the problem.

don't hijack a thread about graphics issues with YOUR issue. start another thread--you'll get more focused responses that way.

    I agree with David.

As expected though a force reboot didn't solve my graphics problem.

I just found this thread while trying to find out why my 4th generation iPod touch started flickering after upgrading to 4.3. Definitely not good. I notice it only happens when I "wake" the iPod after it has been sleeping for awhile.

I hope there is a patch for this. It isn't a show stopper but it is annoying to say the least.

Count me in, too as I have the same problem. The glitch on the lock screen happens occasionally. But what bugs me is opening apps after I have just started up my iPod. On the first try in the morning when I first turn it on, they open without any animation. I then exit the app, clear it from the memory, and then open it again. Now it opens fine. But for now on until the next iOS update, apps will open up without any animation following bootup. I have noticed the same thing yesterday when I went to the Apple Store. All the iPod touches do the same thing as mine does. At first I reset my iPod to factory settings and took on from there. No change whatsoever, though. Hopefully Apple is already planning a new iOS update resolving all of these bugs.

I have been having the same issue too. Especially with the screen lock.

I tried the reset as well and it did not work.

I first noticed this problem with the TextFree app. If the iPod was sleeping, locked and a notification came it, the notification would having flashing and snowy patches. If the display went out and I pressed the home button, it would appear fine.

A moment ago I decided to test the results of my reset and with the iPod sleeping and locked, the notification popup appeared with the same flashing/snowy issues. However, without letting it go to sleep, I pressed my finger against the screen and the flashing went away. Whatever the problem is, performing some kind of external activity on the iPod, either pressing Home or touching the screen seems to shake it out of its problem.

    Same problem.

How this issue was not identified by their QA team is beyond me....

The glitches that we're seeing is very reminiscent of what i've seen happen in graphics cards that have bad or overclocked memory.

Everyone's going to eventually upgrade to 4.3, and everyone who does so will notice this issue. Apple is going to be seeing a boat load of returned 4G iPod Touches if they do not release a patch ASAP, since Apple Store reps and retail store reps will definitely think something is wrong with the device.

I've already posted on feedback site about this issue. I'm having an iPod touch 4G 32GB and of course it seems to be an overclocking issue with the graphics card. Does the "nitro improvement" for safari relies on an overclocking? (btw, Safari runs slower or almost the same as before) I regret having installed this because here in Peru it is hard to return an apple item and receive an instant exchange.

I have the same problem with this. Is there any way we can fix it? Or is it just gonna stay glitchy forever?
