Welcome to Apple discussions.Aluminum wireless keyboard "i" key quit working. Is there a way to repair?
To my knowledge, no. If you are near an Apple store take the KB in for diagnosis.

Aug 17, 2016 4:36 PM in response to Barry Hemphillby drvms2,I had met with same problem last week, my apple wireless keyboard space bar stopped working just 2 days after my warranty finished. I am now in dhaka, so approached apple store, but they advised me to buy a new one as apple dont know how to fix it.But i dont want to be trapped again with a new keyboard as the same problem can repeat next year,
so I decided to fix it myself , i removed the key by gently picking up with my nail and a fork, first the left top corner, The small key will have plastic projection 1 mm inside the boarder with goes in to the frame. dont worry it will not break if you use gentle pressure and use the fork like a scalpel in the hand of a surgeon. there you can see a contact surface covered by a thin film, and a x shaped silicon frame. clean the contact surface lifting the film with 99% ethyl alcohol using in hospital, which evaporates leaving no moisture. replace the button by pressing it worked fine for me.
