Currently Being ModeratedMar 21, 2011 8:11 PM (in response to themacbear)So I guess I shouldn't be posting yet, because I haven't tested MY MBP... But I did the upgrade, and I anticipate mine will be fixed just like everyone elses...
AND, this is WHY I buy Apple. Really guys, I know I know - we pay that big $$$, BUT what other company would handle this situation in such a timely fashion.
Also, I understand SOME of you have had the issue a bit longer than me... but for my circumstance, I posted my concerns just 4-5 days ago and then BANG - it's fixed.
I'm still an Apple Fanboy.
(Ha, MINE probably won't work when I go test it. LOL.)
Thanks team Apple, we are all happy Applers.Early 2011 MBP, Mac OS X (10.6.7)
Currently Being ModeratedMar 21, 2011 8:22 PM (in response to paulie420)I've been following this thread pretty much the day since I got my MacBook Pro and after applying the 10.6.7 update I can confirm that Home Sharing is finally working the way it should have from day one.
I can see my libraries on my other machines and also connect a remote no problems.early 2011 MacBook Pro 13", Mac OS X (10.6.7)
Currently Being ModeratedMar 21, 2011 10:12 PM (in response to astralwerx)Mine too! I'm so glad it got fixed! Now I have to go and updated my operating system on the Apple Discussions settings page.Early 2011 15" 2.0 GHz MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Currently Being ModeratedMar 22, 2011 1:52 AM (in response to radio662)It seems to be working fine for me, except that play counts aren't being updated in the main library, even though I have 'Home sharing computers and devices update play counts' turned on.
Anyone else?Mac OS X (10.5.5)

Currently Being ModeratedMar 22, 2011 6:55 PM (in response to Anarchy23)Sorry to be late reporting. Like everyone else, Home Sharing is back up running again thans to 10.6.7. I'd like to thank all of you who diligently escalated your cases with Apple to get us such a quick result. I am now going to unsubscribe from this thread. It was nice getting to know you all.

Currently Being ModeratedMar 24, 2011 7:02 AM (in response to themacbear)Well first I was depressed. Now I use the wifi2hifi app (http://www.wifi2hifi.com).
It has all the audio home sharing features and works with any type of notebook and iOS device.
Currently Being ModeratedMar 25, 2011 6:24 PM (in response to Paulio33)Mine still does not play my TV shows or movies through the Apple TV. The ATV2 can see the library but it just continuously loads any HD movie I click on without me being able to actually watch it. Am I the only one who still has this problem after the update?

Currently Being ModeratedMar 25, 2011 7:11 PM (in response to themacbear)Ok so it's still not working for me. Apple TV on latest software, 10.6.7 on my 2011 MBP and Home Sharing is not visible to anything. What the **** do I do now?2011 15" Macbook Pro 2.2 i7, 8GB RAM, Mac OS X (10.6.7)
Currently Being ModeratedMar 25, 2011 7:23 PM (in response to Mobilehavoc)First of all, I'm sorry to hear it's not working for you now. I know how maddening it is. If all software is up to date I'd make a genius appointment at the apple store. Take your wireless router, your Mac, and your atv in with you. They can recreate your network in their store. I could be something with your router. Other than that I'm out of ideas. Make sure you log out and back in to Home Sharing on all devices too.MacBook Pro (early 2011) 13.3" 2.3ghz i5, Mac OS X (10.6.6), iPhone 4, ATV2
Currently Being ModeratedMar 25, 2011 11:00 PM (in response to Mobilehavoc)Call Apple.
If you've already made a case number, you should have a personal advisor. (Senior phone support guy.)
Call him directly.
If you don't, or didn't call in like you should have -
1. Call 800-MY-APPLE
2. Reference THIS post
3. Reference a couple Case #s that are IN this post. Mine is in there if you look for Paulie420
4. Get up to a senior phone support guy. Simply ask. Tell them this is an issue thats affecting all MBPs (early 2011).
5. Senior support guy will give you a case number, his personal phone number, and tell you its going up to 'engineering'.
7. Have a bit more patience. THIS IS APPLE. This is why we love them, they will make it right. Period.
Sorry you are still having issues, I hope I don't have any more.
Did this help at all?imac, iOS 4, imac
Currently Being ModeratedMar 25, 2011 11:01 PM (in response to jdjansen)Might want to stick around for a tiny bit longer. I am still doing a BIT more testing before I'm satisfied. There are still a few people having issues.
I think most of us are all fixed up though.imac, iOS 4, imac
