For instance, if you choose "fast & smooth" as soon as you edit it, its name switch to "Manual". The same if you reopen your saved project.MacBook Pro 15', Mac OS X (10.6.6)

In the meantime, with such AU settings defaulting to the name manual, I have no way of referencing how I arrived at a particular sound, especially after it's been awhile since listening to that session.
Seems to me GarageBand should be able save the specific name of the AU preset that I've chosen.MacBook Pro 15", 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB, 200GB, 256MB VRAM, SuperDrive, Mac OS X (10.6.7), GarageBand11 (6.0.1)
