Feb 1, 2011 11:43 AM in response to Texas Mac Manby romko23,Texas,
The AHT is on the 1st disk on the two disk set of the mac pro.. It should say AHT 3A202 for the 2010 series.. and 3A153 for the 2009 series..
It can also be extracted and installed on the hard drive to prevent using the dvd.. I have done it and it works just as well. -
Feb 1, 2011 12:11 PM in response to Cambusmoreby paulpen,There are over 6000 messages in the thread on this site alone - does
the manufacturer not read them? - or simply ignore them?
Apple reads them, and has a tendency to remove ones they don't like. I'll bet this one doesn't last long....
Meanwhile, I too seem to need the AHT 2.02. Can this be downloaded? If not, why not? And if not, can someone upload it or email it to me? THanks. -
Feb 14, 2011 7:14 PM in response to PanoramicPEIby PanoramicPEI,Thanks Japamac for the excellent advice, my Power Supply was useless.
I couldn't do anything for a month.
Picked up another G4 MDD for $100. Shipped & this one checks out as more than fine, no freezing or Apps quitting to date. Smooth machine.
Two Macs are better than one, especially to have one under the bed for parts.
Thanks again, PanoramicPEI -

Apr 6, 2011 2:18 PM in response to catchmaidenby Texas Mac Man,Get replacement system discs.
You can call Apple Customer Support 1-800-767-2775, provide the Serial Number and specifications of the Mac, and for a small fee, a replacement set of system discs (if available), can be ordered.
However, the discs will be for the original version of OS, that was pre-installed, when the Mac was manufactured.
Cheers, Tom

Apr 7, 2011 9:00 AM in response to REYNEby catchmaiden,Hi, thanks for the reply.
I posted my query in this thread cuz it seemed like people knew what they were talking about in here.
The problem is that I'm running a newer OSx version since i got my macbook, someone recently installed it for me. They're not around anymore.
Any advice for that situation? -
Apr 7, 2011 2:43 PM in response to catchmaidenby Texas Mac Man,If you get a copy of the original system discs, you can run the AHT from the DVD. Doesn't matter that you have upgraded the OS.
Cheers, Tom
