Q: Bluetooth "Not Available"

Hi,
I've recently noticed that the bluetooth icon has a zig zag line through it and when I click on the bluetooth symbol on my menu bar, it says "Bluetooth: Not Available". It doesn't give me an option to turn it on or off.

I've tried to look in System Preferences>Network to try and turn it on, but can't find a setting which allows me to do this.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make my Bluetooth available again?!

Thanks

Powerbook G4 1.5GHz, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

    Hi,

This could be caused by a faulty preference file or simply doing a PRAM reset can resolve the issue. Try to reboot your system and or do a pram reset.. report back if this is successful. I have had this problem too many times myself and doing a system PRAM reset or regular power cycle allowed the bluetooth to work again.
