Hello all -

I just updated to iOS 4.3.2 and now any app I launch just crashes and goes back to the home screen. PLEASE HELP.

    Upon further review it appears that all of the NATIVE apps (phone, contacts, stocks, etc) will launch. It's only the ones that are not native that immeidately crash back to the home screen.

    Seems like the 4.3.2 ver has some issues with not working correctly with non-native apps. Apple need to provide a newer version with solves this issue. The native apps are running fine, but the all other apps are crashing but it shows them running in background, but not able to open them.

    This has to be high priority issue to be resolved by Apple iphone OS team.

    Have to delete the app from and reinstall it back on the iphone 4 to have it working.

    Try to delete one of the apps from your phone and reinstall it back from app store. This will resolve the issue.

    Thanks for the help. I actually only had to delete one app and reinstall. I just picked one at random and it seemed to fix all the non native apps.

    ok, tried i) deleting/installing App ii)hard reset by pressing Home / Power button for 10 seconds iii) multiple resynch with iTunes and still had issue with starting some of the Apps after updating to iOS 4.3.2

     

    To fix the issue, here is what I did

    1) update the Apps on the iPhone

    2) Transfter from Purchase on the iTunes (File -> Transfer purchase from iPod)

     

    After UPDATING the Apps on the iPhone to the lastest, I can now start ALL my Apps successfuly

    Hi Everyone, I had the same problem when I updated my iPad2 yesterday. But the problem goes away by doing any one of the following:

    • delete and re-install an existing app
    • logout and log in to the App store
    • download a free app (you can delete this later)

    For me, the problem was solved after I initiated a "Transfer purchases" process in iTunes. Suddenly, all apps stared working.

    Try going to the App Store and Updating one of your apps...any of them.

    This seemed to fix that same issue for me.

    Try any of the following

    • Update any on app using the App store
    • Download a new app
    • Delete and reinstall any app.

    The process woul take a considerable amount of time and the status in most cases would be 'Waiting' . Wait for some time, all apps will start working!

    I did the following:

     

    1.  Restarted iPhone - Did not work

    2.  Uninstalled an App and reinstalled an App - Did not work

    3.  Installed a new App - Did not work

    4.  Updated several Apps - Did not work

    5.  Did the Transfer Purchases - Did not work

    6.  Logged in and out of Apple Store - Did not work

    7.  Re-registered my PC - Did not work

    8.  On the iPhone I reset all settings - Did not work

    9.  Called Apple support they wanted $69 to help me - Shame on Apple!  This is their problem with they crappy updates that don't properly update the licenses for the Apps.

     

    The only way I finally got this fixed was to go into my device on iTunes and go to the apps tab (defaults to summary tab) and make sure your sync Apps box is checked then update an app, download a new one, or delete and reinstall an existing App.  Also make sure your automatically sync new apps is checked.  This worked and all Apps open now.  If this did not work my next step was to go and restore from an old back up.

     

    I feel like Apple should pay me $69 for figuring this all out and helping their customers.  Bad business model with their support.  If my company did not require me to have this device I would switch to something else.  Just my two cents not impressed by Apple or their crappy support.   Everyone should not be charged because they don't know how to properly release an OS update.  Wrong path to go down Apple.

    I deleted one app and reinstalled it (a free one) and voila all apps worked! Thank you! I was having nightmares about having to visit the Genius Bar.
