We all like new and refreshing looks, but why make it more complicated to use? how do I search just on the snow leopard forums? Sorry if I missed something, not intuitive enough. Please get rid of the bubble look, is not needed or desired in my view and the intrusive pop-up before clicking on actual the forums you want to go.

Not flaming, just my opinion.

I agree.  Now, I'll admit that I should use this new site for a while before complaining, but one of the first things I looked for is a list of my old posts.  I finally found them by going into "history" (if I recall correctly), but then all my posts are listed in some odd order, certainly not be most recent.

Oh, well, I'll find to hunt around some more, I'm sure there's something I'm missing.

And another thing - in "all communities", now I have to scroll to get to some.  Before, everything was on one page within one easy click.

I think it's quite an improvement. Try to use it for a while before you make up your mind about it! Once you get used to it, you will see that it's actually easier to find things now and that the whole UI is a bit cleaner.

it's more like some Dell forum now, keep it simple is a good rule or don't fix it if it aint broke

The new design seems processor intensive. I have an 8 core Mac Pro, and scrolling acts like it's hooked up by weak rubber bands, meaning it does nothing for a long moment, then catches up. And it pegs a processor while doing this!

You should post your feedback in the Using Apple Discussions area. The hosts aren't likely to see it here.

Good idea, etresoft, I'll do it. Thanks.

I have a quad-core Dell desktop, and scrolling is very smooth and only uses 3 percent of the cpu. The new forum isn't processor intensive on all systems. Maybe it's an issue with your browser.

It may have been a temporary issue. It's working better now.

My only gripe is that the content is not resizable. It would be nice to be able to have them expand horizontally when the browser window is resized.

absolute garbage pain in the whatever format.

looks like it was outsourced to Microsoft developers - bunch of overcomplicated nobody ever uses options, features and scroll-downs.

a mess, nothing to be proud off and unwarranted change for the sake of doing something just in order to do something.

there is no justification whatsoever to say one positive thing about this format.

    it's comparable to RIM Playbook.

nasty thing would be if Apple inc, paid some serious money to whoever was behind that fiasco.

now let me just try to figure out how to disable notifications that all of a sudden send me emails to my webmail account for the first time in 10 years.

    somebody really goofed.

and your spell check was probably developed in Mongolia.

    "spellcheck" option here

my participation in the discussions is about done

more does not mean better, cool does not mean better - good to use means better and this format is the opposite of good to use.

I agree with you, too.  Really difficult to work and a little tedious to wade through.

One thing, I think they were trying to do was to link up all the different accounts (you will notice that the login screen is now the same as the old Apple Developper login.

But, admittedly, I am flabberghasted with the new layout.

I dislike it. It's really slow. Why did they change it? It looks ugly now. It's hard to navigate. I asked a question and it took ages to load--I found out that I had to choose a category before it posted. Non-intuitive stuff like that.

Also I asked another question and then tried to add a computer which I did and then it got stuck on that page and I couldn't go back to the question page to post it.

A lot of bugs in the system.

Don't they test things before they slam it on the people?
