You can ONLY save files as packages, even if you unmark the option.

I'm trying NOT to create a package file. So I unmark the option in the keynote preferences and create a new file. I start inserting heavy images in the slides (psds) and save the document. The result is a very large file (and it shouldn't be, because that was not suposed to be a package)

Because I unmarked the "save new documents as packages" option, if I right-click the keynote file (in the finder) I don't see the "show package content" option. BUT, if I change the extension file from key to zip, and than OPEN the zip file - there it is - all the heavy content.

How can I make a simple keynote file without the package/content?

Thanks!
