I went to Safari 5.0.5 <http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1070> and clicked the  Download button which says it goes to <http://apple.com/safari/download>. Instead it takes me to <http://www.apple.com/startpage/> which is just a generic Apple page advertising IPad 2. It does not download Safari.

How do I download Safari 5.0.5, other than with Software Download? I no longer use Software Download, because it no longer lets me save the update file..

    Hi,

You are correct. I can report that for you.

In the meantime, (just this one time) you can click your Apple menu (top left in your screen) then click Software Update so you can get the update installed.

I just tried this again, and it worked.
