Q: hp wireless printers problem

I've got an hp wireless printer, the hp photosmart B110c, shared with a windows xp pc. With the windows pc it works perfectly but when I want to print with my macbook the printer always says that is doing other orders although it isn't. Its driving me crazy.....How can I solve it?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

It's physically connected to the MacBook, printer sharing is turned on in System Preferences, and only your PC (over the network) can print?

No, the two are connected via IP address and printer sharing is turned on. I am using my wifi net. I configured both the pc and the macbook but when I tell the mac to print it says that the printer is busy.... Thank you for answering me!!!

    Has it ever worked?

First thing I would do is reset the Printing System (right click on the white box that has your printer listed in Print and Fax preferences) and then readd the printer.

Make sure there are no active or pending print jobs on the other computer. (turn it off maybe? to be sure)

    Then just try again.

If still no go, check Software Update for updates to the driver that's currently install. If it's up-to-date and still won't print, hop on the printer's website and reinstall the driver software from there.

    Tell me what happens.

No way, watts300, I uninstalled everything, even the software and drivers, installed it again from hp website and tried to configure everything again, even printed a testprint perfectly. But when I want to print any document it says that it is busy. The PC was off, but later I tried with it and it prints correctly......help me please......

Where is the "printer is busy" coming from?  From Pages, Word, TextEdit, HP software?

It sounds like an HP software configuration issue.

Can you take a screen shot of the error so I can see the whole thing?

Here you have the screen, the only problem is that it is in Spanish....I don't think it is the hp software, I believe that I am doing something wrong when configuring the printer, once installed, with mac....

reseting the printer doesn't work, it only makes your printer disappear! -- I followed similar advice before and then ended up spending over an hour with HP uninstalling and reinstalling!!!
