Does anyone know how to 'hide' or require password for certain albums in iPhoto?

No, no one knows because it's not possible.

If you want to hide things from your Mother then put the library on an encrypted disk image.

Bummer. It would seem like a very common desire of folks to password protect some photos (like I got a pic of myself eating 15 pounds of mashed potatoes).

So encrypting is the only way??

And this iCloud synching...can that be password protected...or will my 15 pounds of mashed potatoes eating binge wind up going viral? When I just wanted to keep it as The Before pic for my Before and After Diet Manual.

    Encrypting is the only way.

    Terence

Thank you so much for making this clear and emphatic. I'll check out the support link you thoughtfully provided; it's very helpful.

I am quite suprised, though, how this can't be done more simply. I'll put it on my software features Wishlist, 4sure.
