    Hello Katrina,

See page 29 of your iPod's User Guide.

the manual doesn't tell you how to remove it off of shuffle. I've hit that stupid button a million times but it still shuffles my music. Very much a pain in my you-know-what. I should have just bought another Shuffle!!! Also, the screen is upside down, I dislike having my earphones coming out the bottom of the nano as opposed to the top, like I had on my shuffle.

To rotate the screen place 2 fingers on the screen and then twist them in the direction you want to rotate. That should rotate it 1/4 turn so you can just do it twice to rotate half way. I've accidentally rotated mine too.

I think B-rock is saying to tap the shuffle icon on the second screen (see the pics on the referenced page) to turn off shuffle. I haven't tried it. You could also just swipe your way back to the main screen and tap on songs, artists, playlists, albums or whatever to select what you want to play.

before I got a response I found out by accident how to rotate the screen. All is well in that department....but still having a problem with the shuffle part. I've tapped the shuffle button, and it no longer glows blue (I am assuming that the blue glow meant it was on) but my music is still being shuffled. It's become too much of a pain to continue fighting with it, so I've just left it on shuffle. Actually, what I am noticing now is it will go alphabetical for about 4 songs and then skip to the end of the alphabet and shuffle from then on. Pain in the you-know-what. Is there an issue or product update I don't know about?? Also, is it just me, or does the battery life suck on this thing? I've only had it for a week and I've already charged it twice....and I've barely listened to the thing!!! I am totally regretting this "upgrade"

My battery life is fine.  I've always gone back to the menu & selected an album or an artist & it's played through that selection then stopped, just like my 2nd gen Nano.

I'm having a different odd shuffle issue. Mine will play a day's worth of songs then just keep repeating those songs even though I leave it on shuffle all the time. If I go back to the main menu & reselect shuffle then it'll start playing a new set of songs. Very strange.

You just saved me from stomping on my nano! but, you have to slide left to right although I guess that depends on how your screen is orientated.  Anyway, thanks.  You were more help than any manual or other post!
