Q: QMaster QuickCluster with Services

I have an 8-Core 2.8ghz Mac Pro with 16gb RAM, which should be proficient for utilizing all the cores in Compressor, with 2gb per core. I set up QuickCluster with a varied amount of instances and every time I have no luck, it just doesn't work. When in Compressor, I'll Sumbit the job to my "Mac Pro QuickCluster" and wait for it appear in Batch Monitor. It does, but then sits endlessly with "Waiting" next to the status. So, here's what I've got: QuickCluster with Services is on and Compressor Distributed Processing is Shared and 8 instances are selected. I know that this has to work, otherwise it wouldn't be included in the software suite...right?

Anyone have any ideas? I recently upgraded my RAM to be 2gb per core in an attempt to feed this machine more beef and allow it to utilize it more, but so far I'm not seeing that much of an improvement (in this situation).

Thanks to anyone who brings any ideas.

Did it work beforfe you added the new RAM?

Did Qmaster work on a previous Macintosh?

There are many subtle, lame, and stupid things that can go wrong with what should be a totally no-brainer setup for distributed compression.

    My system prefs:

    Quckcluster with services.

services are share and managed for Compressor only, no rendering.

I have a unique name for my cluster.
