excel can not open

I just bougth a macbook pro with mac osX and Danish microsoft office 2011 preinstalled.

Now i realize that excel can not open. I have reinstalled the OSX and the Office package but this has not solved the problem. The strange thing is that it work on an other MacBook pro i bougth the same day.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7), Office preinstalled

    Do you get an error message when you try to open up Excel or does it just bounce up and down but you never see the window come up?

    Think you could post what the error message says or a screenshot of it? Would be very helpful.

    Hi Filippa,

    By any chance did you get any support on the above? I am having as well the same issue. What is happening between MAc OS and Excel. Is there any patch that we need to use?Carlos

    I had the same problem. Installing the newest office version fixed the problem.

    You can check for updates by open for example Word, --> Help --> Check for Updates.
