Why is that so difficulty !!!!

It's not difficult, it's just that there's no demand for it. An SMS is a very short message, a draft of a document that is only a sentence or two long doesn't seem like it would be worth cluttering the UI with, particularly if people don't clamor for it. It's SMS, not e-mail.

In almost 4 years of iPhone posts in this forum yours is the first request I have seen for this feature, so I guess no one has considered it important enough to request. However, you can let Apple know at: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html.

Just purchased an iPhone4 for my mother who has moved across from a Nokia C7.

She pointed out there is no "sms drafts" functionality to which i replied: "impossible, this is an iPhone4 and even the cheapest phones have this function..." and after 15mins of searching and head scratching found out she was right (she is 65 by the way).

Saving draft sms messages is just something i have taken for granted in the 10 years of various phones and can't believe Apple would have overlooked this on their latest creation.

Do people at Apple actually use the sms function and not seen this mighty of mighty oversights?

Surely this problem (and in fact the whole sms application) are in need of a serious overhaul.

Am sure i am not the only one thinking this!!!!

iPhones are what they are.  They are not meant to be all things to all people, or meet the uninformed expectations of the overly entitled.

If, for some reason not evident to the >100 million other iPhone owners, you find "draft SMS" to be important to you, you should have done your due diligence and researched the features of the phone before purchasing, instead of expecting "everything and more."

No.  Actually you're the second person in the 4 year history of iPhones that's posted a request for this feature.

    Underwhelming.

I agree. Thought about this a long time. We even discussed this at work once  or twice...

I really dont understand why there isnt a sms draft function on it. I feel like this not much to ask for, just used to having it. It seems like thats one of those regular standard things to have...

I mean, while I write my sms, without adding a "to" contact, the messege dissapears if I leave it somehow. And thats really annoying when you need to re-type. I dont know why, but this happens to me quite often, that i am i need to rewrite my unsend message because it got cleared for some reason.

I mean, very often, Id like to write my message first, before I choose the "reciever" of the text.

Thanks for good service and a good phone overall.

    Best regards, M

I am guessing the original posters have learned to deal with this since their posts are over 2 years old now.
