Q: Cannot redeem a gift purchased in a different country than mine

I received an i-tunes gift from a friend in the USA. I am registered on i-Tunes in Italy. I get the message that I cannot redeem the gift, because it was purchased outside of Italy. How can I redeem my gift?

    Sorry, but that is how it works.  Your friend is probably unaware of the restrictions.  Here is the information from the "Terms of Service:"

     

    GIFTS

    Gifts purchased from the Services may be purchased only for, and redeemed only by, persons in the United States.
