Some emails vanished from my inbox. The messages still appear in the Mail Viewer but when I click on them, there is nothing, no message or anything.

Where are those emails ?

Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup),  it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.

Move this Folder to the Desktop...

Finally found the time to go though this procedure but to no avail

Mail did rebuild it's database and reimported all the messages but the problem persist. Here it is again:

Some messages appear in the Message viewer with the correct info:

    From/Subject/Date received/Mailbox

but when I click on them, the messages are empty  ????

Anything else I can do ?

Hmmm, when you highlight them do any contents show below it?

No in fact nothing appears, it is just empy, no header or anything. And going into the View menu I can't see Message (Long header/Raw source). Everything is grayed out !

Open this path and find a box with .emlx files in it, drag one to Text Edit, does it show up there?

    Installed any new Fonts?

If so, try Mail>Preferences>Fonts & Colors & changing the Font(s) used, and restart Mail.

I am experiencing this same problem. Mail not showing up in window. How did you fix your problem?

Please understand I'm trying to help you get help faster. Mining up two-year old posts and tagging on doesn't often get you help around here. It is always best in these forums to start your own topic. For your Mail question, find out what Mac OS version you have by doing "About this Mac" and post in the forum for your OS version from this list:

    OS X v10.8 Mountain Lion

    Mac OS X v10.7 Lion

Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard

    Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard

When you post, be sure to post as much info about your Mac as possible, to save helpers having to ask you a question before they can answer yours. Note my equipment line below for an example. Think of it as the same as calling your car dealer's service department when you have a problem. The first thing the mechanic will ask is, "What make? What model?"
