Jun 6, 2011 9:27 PM in response to Omarlinarezby Natomicron,This really makes me grumpy, I want to know how to delete the purchase history as well. I deleted all those apps for a very specific reason, and don't want them showing up again. Apple needs to make a way to delete them permanantly. Im all for being to get stuff you downloaded in the past back but come on, there are apps Id rather not remember I ever purchased .....

Of course I was joking when I mentioned the "class action", it's called sarcasm. On the merits, if you have the right to use up to 5 iOS devices with your iTunes account it's relatively normal and not unusual to have it share through the family. For instance, we have an iPad used by guests & children to access the iTunes content. We want to be in control of the things guests see & access to. Certainly not the history of the apps we have tried in the past. What next? Would you do it with the history of safari? Or your emails perhaps? It is a mistake and should be considered as such. I have used the feedback page anyway...

Jun 6, 2011 10:00 PM in response to Emmanuel Maroyeby ostiarius,Well, another option would be to sign out from your account in the app store while letting other people use the device. All of your apps would still be fully functional, but no one would be able to get into your purchase history. If someone has your login info they can already see your purchase history in iTunes anyway, it's just easier now.

I have recently been playing a game where you could get +X in-game-money of you downloaded X-app.
So i just downloaded all the free apps, and then deleted them again.. now my purchase list is TOTALLY BLOATED!Nice keynote yesterday though And nice new stuff to play with.

Jun 7, 2011 6:43 AM in response to Omarlinarezby Juppers,This needs to be corrected immediately. How could noone at Apple realize this was a horrible idea? So fair iCloud is major FAIL from where i sit.

Jun 7, 2011 8:19 AM in response to Omarlinarezby dazzer,Agreed, this "feature" needs to be editable by the users/customers.

Jun 7, 2011 8:22 AM in response to Juppersby bbfc,A major FAIL?? It's in Beta - which means its not finished and is still being tested. For all we know this feature will be implemented when the service launches, or if not, if people are asking for it then will include the option.
People seem to forget how a Beta works!

Jun 7, 2011 8:35 AM in response to bbfcby dazzer,Every beta I've ever been involved in, I've opted into and could opt out of.
Tonight, after having done nothing new, I look at the app store on my iPhone and find this ridiculously long list of deleted free apps, some kept for less than a minute, (that also appear in iTunes on my Mac, nothing upgraded, apps that never even synched once with my computer) that I cannot edit.
I didn't ask to participate in this "beta" I simply used my phone without updating anything and found a major change. So maybe you should reconsider "how a Beta works".

Jun 7, 2011 8:40 AM in response to bbfcby Emmanuel Maroye,I don't agree. No one asked us to use this beta. This functionality was rollout to everyone without a consent (which I can understand - it's called progress). But it's flawed. We just ask Apple to consider a deleted apps as ... deleted, gone & disappeared.

Jun 7, 2011 9:04 AM in response to Omarlinarezby rwinselman,I just simply want to be able to delete apps out of iCloud. I think it is cool to have my download history, but if there is an app I want to permanently remove I should be able to. Come on Apple, this needs fixed!

Jun 7, 2011 9:59 AM in response to Omarlinarezby LR Steve,I agree... I don't need to see the free '"Iphone 4 free case" app again or other apps and songs that I deleted from my collections years ago. Apple needs to provide a permanent delete option. Swipe to delete, show me a warning, and then zap... gone.
