I suppose this is not an Apple-issue. But more publishing rights, recor labels etc issue. Quote from a website:
"...just learned through The Daily Telegraph British record labels Anglo islands are still at an early stage of negotiation. And it is very difficult to reach an agreement before they have been able to confirm how it has affected the release of icloud sales of U.S. record labels.
As one executive of a music label in the UK who wanted to remain anonymous:
have begun tentative talks between Apple and the labels in the UK. However, all negotiations are at an early stage and not expected to see the music service in the cloud on this side of the pond until 2012."
I live in Sweden and when I bought my iPad I was excited about iBooks, but as it turned out i can't actually buy anything, except free Gutenberg Project books publised more or less 100 years ago and which have no copyright anymore. A similar issue is with Amazon. I got the Kindle-app and while the varietly of books I can buy there is large I am also faced with country restrictions and publishing rights.
Though I fail to understand if I have bought a song and lost it, why can't I get it back... but i can download every single Lite and test app I have ever purchased and rather would not be reminded of :-) . This is probably also why we cant buy an Apple Tv in my country
