Jun 9, 2011 7:25 PM in response to Omarlinarezby robfrombyron,Like with iTunes on Mac, they need to enable a simple login for ios to view purchase history. Problem solved me thinks.

Jun 9, 2011 10:11 PM in response to Omarlinarezby alansapple,Just submitted my feedback to apple - hopefully with enough submissions we'll be heard.
IMO password access is needed to view the list; no free apps should appear in the list; the ability to delete or permanently hide items. On the latter I am prepared to repurchase the deleted app should I choose to reinstall it.
Some of the apps I previewed were clearly with the (mis)understanding that once deleted it would be gone forever. Quite happy not to do so again on my main account knowing this but how do I undo what's already done?

Jun 10, 2011 12:09 AM in response to alansappleby jamesvincent06,I agree. And I've submitted feedback to Applpe too. I did launch a petition on another website in addition to this, in the hope that we could find another way of making our voices heard, but the powers that manage this board have since told me that I can't link to it from here. Regardless though, the only way Apple will hear is if as many people as possible communicate their grievances.

Jun 10, 2011 7:51 AM in response to Omarlinarezby beneathth3remains,If you want to hide your purchased history, I think this trick worked for me : I have switched my App Store to point to a different location , say Australia or UK. Once the step completed, the items in the purchased list disappeared.
I would like to know if this worked for others, as well.
Now, it is also true that yesterday I sent an email to Apple Support asking them exactly the same thing : purge the list; as such, if the first trick above does not work for you, maybe the second trick might have been the one that happened for me.

Jun 10, 2011 8:03 AM in response to beneathth3remainsby mpoyner,But this means that you'll lose access to music, also. Right?
I assume this isn't permanent? In other words, if you switch back to the US store, your purchases show back up again? If that's the case, then maybe this is a temporary solution. I really wouldn't want to lose all of my music, though. -
Jun 10, 2011 8:16 AM in response to mpoynerby beneathth3remains,No, you will not lose anything. I use to have business trips around the world and at one point I was curious what other App Store might hold. Yes, it is a temporary trick , only to hide the original list. Once back to the US store, you get the list back. Still, it might be a handy one - if it's proven by other users, as well - until Apple comes up with a 'Delete' or 'Remove' button . I guess the less techy people in the household might be satisfied with something like 'Let's check what the Aussies have in store , for the next two weeks !' .. -btr-

Jun 10, 2011 9:00 AM in response to Omarlinarezby kise,I really don't get it. How can it be that this information had been saved and I can't do a thing to delete it?
You are right, FROM NOW ON, I will use a different account. But currently speaking, the rest of my family are completely exposed to my former history, what I DIDN'T want them to see.
Apple, you are horrible. I should have learnt my lesson a long time ago- a mobile phone is just a phone, not more than that.
I hope you'll correct your terrible mistake and enable people to delete app's history.

Jun 10, 2011 9:29 AM in response to Omarlinarezby beneathth3remains,Yes. I confirm : switching to a different store will hide the purchases list of the original store. So the list is bound to the store, not to the Apple account . I switched my iPhone to a different store, and my iPad went straight to the new store once I touched the icon. The credit card info and so forth will be kept the same so there is no harm shopping in a different store, after all.
I guess this is the best solution, so far, to keep other people out of your purchases history , providing they will not reverse the settings to the original store.

Jun 10, 2011 11:14 AM in response to Omarlinarezby lindzog,i think ive got the same problem. With the latest Iphone software download, I now have these two displays on my Aps Updates on the phone. Both seem to contain items I purchased and got rid of ages ago. However, they are still listed as not "Not on This Iphone" . They are not even on my notebook, but that doesnt seem to stop them being displayed on this display in the Iphone. Is this the same issue? Sounds like it, as it seems to be related to the purchase history.

Jun 10, 2011 4:02 PM in response to beneathth3remainsby radio4sale,I tried to to do this, switch stores and my credit card info doesnt work in that store? Any suggestions?
-
Jun 10, 2011 7:17 PM in response to radio4saleby beneathth3remains,My V card worked, as I've just purchased a new app from the store I switched to. However, my iTunes only showed my podcasts suggesting that I could not purchase music. So the whole experience is crippled a bit but still alive ..

Jun 11, 2011 10:46 AM in response to beneathth3remainsby Roosevelt Jones,Essentially you are creating a new account at a different Apple Store. You are also agreeing to be bound by the laws of that new country/region, correct? You are just signing out of your account unless you actually have purchases in the store you have just switched to.
-
Jun 11, 2011 9:29 PM in response to Roosevelt Jonesby beneathth3remains,I Think I am only switching to to a different store and, yes, I sign a new agreement bound to that store. Still, my Apple ID stays the same.

Jun 14, 2011 9:10 AM in response to beneathth3remainsby ChrisConnelly,I could be wrong, but this appears to be attached to the iPhone, not the store. My iTunes on the mac allows me to wipe applications. They no longer appear in the purchase history for the app store there. However, they do appear in the app store purchase history on the phone.
THEREFORE, would a back up, wipe, and reinstall work?

Jun 14, 2011 10:57 AM in response to ChrisConnellyby Roosevelt Jones,Does a cloud icon or "installed" badge appear next to the app in the Purchased list? If so then that may indicate that the purchase history has been moved to iCloud. Device wipes and restores are probably not going to change the list accept for maybe the installed status.
