Hi: Adobe has not created a version of Flash for any iOS devices.

    Hi chertlfromirwin,

sorry but to my knowledge of iPad, and the software it is based on, flash is not supported.  There maybe other means you can get Flash to work but these are not supported and if you develop a problem and you take it back to your local Apple Store, the geniuses will refuse to touch it as it is known as "jailbreaking".   In most cases doing this may cause you more problems than it solves.

Flash is all well and good but HTML5, uses a lot less system resources, it can play video & audio, you can find out more about HTML5 here:

    http://www.apple.com/html5.

    Hope this helps.

Short Answer: Apple does not support Flash

Long Answer: You can get around this but it requires a jailbreak. You NEED to research the available jailbreaks thoroughly as there are some really dodgy ones out there. As of yet there is still no jailbreak available for the iPad 2.

Look up "Skyfire" web browser - this may provide a part solution.

I've tried sky fire,  I swifter and other apps. They are all useless. Even tried remote access software.

Can't understand why should apple not have something so basic.

If they have a personal issue with Adobe, sort it out. find a way around? Whatever...but why should the consumer suffer!

You cant play flash enabled games, can't view most airline website if you want to book a flight, almost everywebsite has an error on it.

I'm waiting for the Microsoft win8 tablet and hope apple allows a change of OS like it did for Mac.

Android is much better in this aspect.

    I almost never encounter errors.

What does a Windows tablet have to do with changing the OS?

Android is much better in this aspect.

You can load WIndows on an Android iPad?

Wait. Android is an OS, not a tablet.

You should be posting this question on Adobe's support forums, not here.

The iPad including any other iDevice on the market does NOT include Adobe's Flash Player and it's also not downloadable for the iPad firmware.Apple mentioned that it's keeping it's technology for computers, for the computers and the technology for there smartphones/mobile devices to there.I would suggest that you use some of the HTML5 compatibilty that the iPad has to offer. It's pretty much like a new light-weight type of Flash engine for mobile devices and I would recommend it.Try some HTML5 applications on Safari and tell me how you like them. Also, try using vidoes via HTML5 and tell me how you like the quality of them via HTML5.

Come back in 2012, when  Microsoft releases it and let us know how it works out.

Meanwhile, I will enjoy my device that actually exists.

You can download apps that supports Flash via remote browsing. Try Photon Browser app on the app store which supports playing Flash games, viewing Flash websites and also Flash videos and a number of nifty features.

Why?  The OP paid money for the iPad.

By the way, I'm still waiting for you to identify those "ten security updates in ten days" that you had alleged in the other thread.

I, like everyone else on this forum would like Flash to work on my iPad. It is very disappointing that Apple made a web access and consuming devise that only supports the format they want customers to use, rather than what everyone on the Web is using. It is not good enough to tell customers, who bought a consuming device that they can only use it to consume some of the Web content as it is produced in the format that Apple likes. I don't want to power up my Pc or MacBook every time the 'do not support flash' box pops up. Very poor customer support, Apple. Would like you to tell us how to use Flash, not HTML5.

"I, like everyone else on this forum would like Flash to work on my iPad."

Please, it's really more productive if you speak for yourself and not make assumptions about "everyone". I don't care if Flash ever works on iOS. There are also people who are actively opposed to the idea.
