Mac OS X 10.4 Help: Keyboard shortcuts for Front Row
Regarding the crash, it doesn't surprise me entirely. Because WMV is using the perian plugin, you might not get the sort of experience you're hoping for. If you want to keep this WMV file in your library, it may pay off to convert it -- search the discussions for "WMV convert", I'm sure you'll find more than enough info

Jul 2, 2011 7:30 AM in response to Jet787by Mimu,★HelpfulSorry - you're watching the dvd in DVD Player? (I thought front row when i first read it, but seems like two separate questions when re-reading)
I don't have a DVD to test with (if it's DVD player), but try the left/right keys. You can try click on them, but I find with a lot of DVD's the "active zone" in not properly aligned with what you trying to click on - so it can take a bit of trial and error. You can also try use the "controller" - activate it through the "window" menu

Jul 2, 2011 8:01 AM in response to Mimuby Jet787,Hi Mimu thanks, yes you're right, I am opening the DVD folders from from row and it starts from front row. I've checked the keyboard shortcuts but as you see the up down arrow can regulate both the volume and the menu.
I cannot find a way to surf the menu... if I use them I only change the volume...

Jul 2, 2011 8:23 AM in response to Jet787by Mimu,I don't have a DVD to try replicate what you are experiencing and I can't suggest much else - hopefully someone else might be able to give you an answer.
This is purely a shot in the dark, try the tab key

Jul 2, 2011 9:27 AM in response to Jet787by Klaus1,To play DVDs use DVD Player or VLC. Front Row is not really suited for that, as it only searches in your Movies, iTunes and iPhoto folders.
As for
is it normal that my FrontRow crash when I enter a folder with WMV videos even if I have perian and VLC?
Not sure about crashing but to play them at all you need Flip4Mac WMV Player from http://www.telestream.net/flip4mac-wmv/overview.htm (Windows Media Player for the Mac is no longer supported, even by Microsoft)
