Q: Creating a Blu Ray from FCP7

Hello forums...
I've got a feature film length project that was shot in HD, and the codec is Apple ProRes 422 HQ. So it's big. 85 mins.

I'm trying to get this onto a Blu Ray disc. Anyone know the workflow?
I have FCP 7, Compressor 3.5.3, and DVD Studio PRO (DVDSP).
Apparently DVDSP doesn't do BLU RAY?

One workflow that was told to me was to send to compressor, and put in blu ray specs, and use the MPEG2 for video.
Another was to use SHARE in FCP7, select BLU RAY, which then wanted to create an H.264 file.
Hmmmm....
How does the computer in SHARE create a BLU RAY, if I don't have a BLU RAY burner.

Also - what's ENCORE? is it DVDSP for Blu Ray???

Please help. I have a deadline, so if you know this stuff, help a brother out.
Thanks.

How many minutes of HD video would you get on a DVD-R 4.7GB disc using Share, burn blu ray disc?

    Hi David,

Can you comment a bit more about why you advise not to use 'share' out of FCP7?

I'm about to pickup a Pioneer BDR-206 and am figuring out what my workflow will be to author blu-ray discs.

    Thanks,
    Chris

I'm not David but .... almost all "Share" processes I have tried lead to errors sooner or later. The other thing is that you are tying up two apps in the process.
