Q: Why can't I see my images when they're in the trash?

I'm using Aperture 3. When I move them to the trash, I can't see them in the trash library, although I know they're there. This is BEFORE I empty Aperture trash.

Possibly, you have a filter applied to the container "Trash".  Clear the search field at the top right of the Trash Browser, or set it to "Showing All".

    That didn't work. Thanks, though.

I found the answer that worked for me. I created a new library (new name) and transferred (merged) all my photos from the OLD library into it (File>Import>Library). I then trashed the entire old library. I also enabled my web accounts for the new library (File>Web Accounts>Enable All Accounts).

The new library has all my photos in it, and the trash behaves as it should (I can see the photos that are in it).

Of course prior to doing this I made backups of the old library in the Aperture vault, as well as Time Machine.

I'm having the same problem as the OP. I can't see images that I've moved to the Aperture Trash and I need to restore one. I've Repaired Permissions, Repaird the DB and Rebuilt the DB with no luck. Is my solution really to create a new library and import everything from the original into the new library?
