Mar 16, 2012 1:17 PM in response to Dennis Madsenby dalstott,While you are at it get an external USB hard drive and learn to make a bootable clone with Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper. You can not only back up but also have a bootable trouble shooting drive.
Google either or both applications for detailed info.

Very strange event here. I was replying to an alleged current post on Bootcamp or MacBook pro sections of these forums.
Might something from "The Twilight Zone" and it isn't even close to Halloween yet.
More likely an iCloud "brain fart" event which we will have to become familiar with.

If you did, you could go to the activity monitor application, open it up, click on the application, and hit stop process. This instantly shuts down the selected application, and you can delete it easily

But many of the so-called cleaner apps put all sorts of other files in various places; just deleting them often doesn't undo the damage.
Restoring from a prior backup will put everything back the way it was.
