Try the following:

Open Network Preferences.

Click the active network card (wired or wireless).

Click Advanced...

Click Proxies tab.

Enable "Auto Proxy Discovery" (probably enabled already) and enable "Automatic Proxy Configuration".

Click OK

Click Apply

Close Network Preferences

Restart your MAC

This worked for me.

Kind regards,

I tried this but it didn't work for me. In my case, Auto Proxy Discovery was not already enabled (but is now), and Auto Proxy Configuration won't stick after applying or restarting my machine.

Any other suggestions or info I could provide that would be useful?

After a lot of searching I found this and it solved the problem for me:

I don't know if you still have the problem, but I had the same thing happening and I fixed it by deleting:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.revocation.plist

For some reason, this file was generating access denied errors in console and removing it fix my Safari problems.
