You have to upgraded to Lion.

Apple - OS X Lion - Get Lion in July. Only from the Mac App Store. Lion requires an Intel-based Mac with a Core 2 Duo, i3, i5, i7 or Xeon processor and 2GB of RAM.

You must be running v10.6.8 in order to upgrade to Lion.

Maybe you'd like to define "doesnt work my safari in lion". Do you get an error message when you try to start it? It's part of the OS. It's entirely possible you did something that caused a problem with preferences in your user account on the machine and that has carried over.

Try creating a new account on your Mac or use the guest account and see if it works.

Restart your Mac while holding down the Option key. Select the Recovery Partition to start from. Then make the selection from the menu.

But first make sure you search the Applications folder to verify the version of Safari is not 5.1.

Check this thread first: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3192266?answerId=15669646022#15669646022

Safari comes with Version 5.1 (7534.48.3). If you don't have it, you may be using an older version of Safari that you have moved from the Applications folder. Check the version of Safari that is in your Applications folder.
