After some digging around I believe this issue is related to a Timezone problem between webmail and the database, I have found main.inc.php in usr/share/webmail/config/ where there is entry for the session timeout bu the file is read-ony and not been able to change it to writable so I try changing the session value.

same issue too
after a bit of looking - it does look like a time miss match between SQL server for roundtable (opennsource that it is based on) and the server? but how to fix it....
also getting the follwong error when going in and changing server time zone...
System Preferences: **** ERROR: -[GEOCityPickerView _bindPublicToPrivateProperties] UI is already bounded
anyone got a fix on this?

I found the solution to the problem.
In the file main.inc.php in usr/share/webmail/config/ found this:
// Session lifetime in minutes
// must be greater than 'keep_alive'/60
$rcmail_config['session_lifetime'] = 10;
Now in "$rcmail_config['session_lifetime'] = 10;" change the value 10 for 100. In my server now the webmail works perfect.

found a work around - that works for me - I changed the timezone back to Los Angeles (from UK London) - restarted and it works again.
I think it is due to the timezone settings at install. I changed them from teh default of LA after install and at that point it doesn't work. if ai change them back (and restart) it is fine....
for some reason changing the clock doesn't properly cascade into SQL.....?

You need tochange the php timezone to whatever youve changed the server timezone to.
In terminal, run:
sudo vi /etc/php.ini
Then change date.timezone to whatever timezone identifier your current location is. Search php docs if your not sure.
You'll then need to restart apache:
sudo apachectl graceful
You may also need to change the postgres databases timezone to match if it still doesnt work.
