I have a Macbook Air without a Firewire port.  How do I sync an older IPod Classic if it requires a Firewire connection to do so?

I have 2 IPhones, a Nano, and an older (Classic) Ipod.  The Ipod is from the generation that required a firewire port to sync with ITunes library.  My current PC is a MacBook Air without a firewire port.  Is it possible to sync the Classic via USB?  Thanks.

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.0.x)
