Jan 17, 2011 2:46 PM in response to Swingbopby Matt 32E,I'm using Gust and Freehand to simulate writing - is there any tutorial or direction from Apple, if they are suggesting replacing LiveType with Motion, on how to accomplish the same things in that program?
I've used Motion for a lot of effects, but for quick titles and simple text animations, LiveType is far easier to work with.
Thanks,

Feb 15, 2011 4:15 PM in response to JDVirgilby Johnny Young,Upgraded to 10.6.6 & ran into this issue of Livetype spaces not being recognized.
Its just amazing to me that Apple will drop support for software like this after claiming they are a professional solution for video editing.
Yeah, I want to make my periods "invisible" from now on...
I guess they just want to sell phones.

Apr 1, 2011 8:12 AM in response to JDVirgilby CycloneAWL,Questionable business ethics: A company stops supporting a product they make then they silently break it?
Thankfully I have an older, un-updated Mac sitting around I can use, it's just a pain to have to use a separate computer.
I recently started having problems with DVDSP importing images too, that a sign they're phasing that out too? (only half joking here) -
Jul 27, 2011 8:38 PM in response to JDVirgilby justiceistheway,I too am very sad, I created a user identity just so I can voice my frustration for not being able to provide a simple space for the Livetype fonts. Livetype was an easy to use software to get good, quick titles. I hope those at Apple when taking time to consult together, think of the implications of their decisions.
