I am sure for novice user this new resume feature would be nice. However, for those of us who are old pros it would be nice to turn off ALL of the resume features. I have unchecked the box for it in System Preferences:
However, unchecking this box does not turn it off completely. Is there any other place to turn off all "Resume" features? This is driving me crazy...

Actually, yes, but its a manual procedure that you have to remember to do each time you shutdown/restart until someone figures out the Terminal command to change the default.

Dano's point was that there is absolutely no way to turn off Resume completely... ONLY temporarily.
Like RonL says, we all know that you can turn it off on a one-time basis. The question was how to make it persistent or permanent. Therefore the above is not a "Right Answer".
