I have spent many hours this past week trying to dual boot Windows XP Professional 64-bit SP2 on my 2011 MacBook Pro (10.6.8) with no luck. The installation appears to go just fine up until I hold down the Option key and and boot Windows... I get the following error every single time:

"Windows could not restart because the following file ismissing or corrupt:

<Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe"

I have scoured the internet for a solution and have tried everything from deleting the Windows partition and re-installing to trying all the methods provided on the Microsoft Support webpage:

So before I give up on XP 64-bit and purchase a copy of Windows 7 64-bit I want to ask the members of this community if anyone has had success where I have failed...
