Q: Turn off treading feature in Lion Mail

Is it possible to turn off the threading feature in Lion Mail? Threading messages from the same sender really messses up my work flow.

Is there a way to make this the default? It turns out that the "Organize by Conversation" is the default for every mailbox. I'm surprised there is not an obvious way to set this in preferences....

I did that. It didn't work. Mail is still grouping stuff.
