Q: Card Reader is not working

Hello everybody. I just install in my Macbook Pro the Mac OS X Lion. After update the Card reader is not working with any card ( differents sizes and with cards than after works). So i don't know what to do... Any help?

First thing make sure your card reader is being recognized in System information.

Card reader is there with this text (Spanish):

This tells us that it is not a Hardware issue...

This is not a known issue with Lion.

I would try again trying to get the card to seat well, and be read.

I just reinstall the Lion (erasing the disk before) and is not working yet.. Any tool or any way to know if it detects but not mount?

I hope that you know that the card reader in your MacBook Pro only reads SD and MMC cards... The cards have to meet Apple specs: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3553

Yes, i know. A few weeks ago it was working with all my SD Cards (2GB,8GB,16GB) and MMC(256MB) but now is not working with any card.

I am also having the same problem on my MBP but I'm running 10.6.8 OS.... My cards worked fine about a week ago now none of them are recognized..... If the computer has the screen saver running when I insert the card, the screen saver stops but that is the only thing I can get to happen.
