Keep getting message "Powerpc applications are no longer supported"

I get the fact that after installing Lion my Power PC applications are no longer supported - how do I get this message to stop popping up every time I try to use my calendar?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7)

upgrade your software to a Lion compatible versions...

Go to Applications >Utilities > Activity Monitor

Make sure you look at the "Active Processes"

Look under "kind" most of them should be either "Intel" or "Intel 64-Bit"

The ones that have anything else, such as "PPC" or "PowerPC" in that field, need to be updated...

Also if you look in your Applications folder you might find a few apps that are grayed out... those need to be updated too...

Once you update all your software to the new versions, that message will stop to pop up

Thank you so much. I checked that out and all are intel/intel 64 bit. I think I may have muddied the waters here though. I get this message every time I go into iCal (I was using Entourage before and when I migrated my info over I brought entourage with it but am not using it anymore) I get this error message. So I tried to go in and get rid of any entourgae applications and theya re just sitting in the trash. Help!

There is a "Remove Office" app that gets installed with MS Office. Using that is very much more effective than using the Trash because dragging the app to the Trash does not rid you of a huge number of support program that MS uses for Office.

I don't have Office 2004 on any of my Macs but, in Office 2008, this folder in "Applications:

has an "Additional Tools" folder that contains the Remove Office folder. Again, it may be in a different spot in Office 2004, but look for an Office folder that contains apps you don't normally access directly.

If you can't find it, you may wish to ask in the Office for Mac forums that MicroSoft sponsors:

NOTE: Your issue should only affect Office 2004 and earlier. If you have Office 2008 or 2011, something else is afoot and you need to let us know the version.

What version of the OS are you running? If your CS apps are PPC apps and you're running Snow Leopard or lower, you should have no problems running the CS suite. Have no idea why they're not showing up in ACtivity Monitor - do you have some of the CS apps up and running?

Sig...

I just got a new iMac with Mountain Lion on it, so even though Mountain Lion isn't new, I'm new to it. Previously I had been using a 6 year old MacBook Pro (worked great!) with 10.6 on it so I was unaware of compatability issues. So I'm just learning about all this as I go to 10.8.

MS Office 2011 is $99! Yikes! I hope I don't have to buy too much upgraded 3rd party software. My Quicken 2007 gets the same error messages. Any solutions for me there?

Yeah, you have some updating to do. I paid $199 for Office - but there are some $99 Home and Student discounts, I think. And you'll have to update Quicken, too. I lost a handful of apps when I went from SL to Lion, but most needed upgrading anyway...
