Aug 22, 2011 1:00 PM in response to 107552by rlin81,works great.
type in %programdata% when you click start there is a little text box for you to enter. This should open up a new window. Look for Apple then installer cache as shown above and follow the steps jerry and global and alls well again.

Aug 22, 2011 1:21 PM in response to JerryFromKrakowby Drawn and Quartered,Based on my experience--you've got to do the %programdata% in the "seach programs and files" window mentioned here in order to pull up the correct files as mentioned in Jerry's solution!

Aug 23, 2011 6:44 AM in response to JerryFromKrakowby chrismkuk,Yes, this cured it for me.
It also seems to have solved the iphone not being recognised by iTunes.
I was previously running the programme in W7 compatibility mode.
Out of curiosity, since it is for W7 64bit, whu doesn it install into the x86 Program folder?
-
Aug 23, 2011 8:13 AM in response to chrismkukby globalist,That's because iTunes doesn't come in a 64bit flavor- it's still a 32bit app. The only thing 64-bit in the so-called "64bit" iTunes package is the Apple USB driver.

Sep 3, 2011 10:21 AM in response to JerryFromKrakowby sickyd,10.4.1 didn't solve the issue, but reverting back to 1.5.2 of the ApplicationSupport did. iTunes for Windows is the biggest POS I have ever seen. Can't wait to never use it again with iOS5. Thanks.
