I upgraded to Lion a few days ago. Keynote now has slowed down significantly and sometiime hangs, My business relies on Keynote being usable. When will this be fixed?

I agree is there a way to disable the auto save feature, besides unchecking the box in time machine.

I have a 1.5gb presentation... after the update keynote simply hangs during 10 min.... that is completely unacceptably...

Same here, my business was trashed until I went back to SL, took me a day to do so.  Keynote simply won't close or quit, just spinning ball.  You would think Apple could get a product like keynote right.

I used app zapped to take everything in iwork off, reinstalled and now it opens in lion but that's it, won't close, just hands with the ball.

Using Keynote and Lion (upgraded). The Presentation runs, but while editing there are annoning problems. Often keynote stops to react on input from the keyboard, interactions with the mouse are possible. All other applications still interacts with the keyboard. A workaround is switching to an other application, make an textinput with the keyboard an comes back. Most times Keynote interacts with the keyboard as expected. Seems to be a problem with the respond to the FirstResponder.

Also annoying is the menu to change the color: Editing Text: higlight,  selcet the color from the menubar: "Farben anzeigen" a pop-up appears, I can choose the color. But if I then select for example an arrow I can't change it color. I must open the Menu "Farben anzeigen" again. Afterwards the same is vailid for the color of the text. Really annoying!

I use keynote weekly to run workshops for Sr Leadership teams all over the country and rave about how great Keynote is!  I just upgraded to Lion and what a disaster....I can only open a handful of presentations without crashing the entire program.  This is a major issue for me!!!  Is anyone else dealing with Keynote completely crashing when they try to open a presentation?

Exactly the same problem here, keynote freeze every time when I move something with the mouse, when I do some effects with  pics "freeze" (around 2, 3 minutes) change pics size "freeze", check preview in ispector "freeze", if i turn my head to see my door room "freeze". You have the idea...

The better we can do is:

    1. open "Activy Monitor" app
    2. search for keynote not responding in red
    3. mark keynote app
    4. click "quick process
    5. then a windows appear telling you about send a report to Apple
    6. Send it

I have read all the complaints about Keynote and Lion, and I am also suffering through the mess that has been created.  Today, in front of 150 people when I tried to add a slide to my presentation (which in the past would have taken only a few seconds), my entire audience got to watch the pretty yet annoying Apple beach ball spin for 8 minutes.

SURELY Apple is working around the clock to come up with a fix, right?????  Are those of us who have some to love the ease of Keynote and who have sung it praises far and wide going to have to go to clunky Power Point??? Or is ti freexing up too?

Is anyone from Apple reading these posts????  If so, can you PLEASE comment?????

I have been working with Apple and they want to take me through taking Keynote of and installing it again.  They think corruption. I have a new system I loaded with Keynot after upgrading Lion and I am trying now.  Will update with results...

This is not gonna work... don’t loose your time .... trust me !!

I'm sorry, but THEY have to solve this out not WE. We paid for this software!!!!!!!!!! Is it not supposed to work!!!

What I cannot understand is that, keynote is their software running on their machine plus using the KING ‼!

Imagine if this happen with Microsoft ‼!
