Do you mean with your iPad2?
You can import through the iPad camera connection kit, which is available from Apple.
Tell us more about what kind of camera.
And if I did not guess right about your iPad, let me know.
There is a discussion group for iMovie on IOS Devices like the iPad here, where people have more knowledge.
Most of us here are using Macs.

I started taking videos on my helmet cam (contour hd) and transfered them over to my camera roll folder for my iPad2 but the videos won't sync in whenever I sync thru iTunes. Is there a method for doing this?

There probably is, but I don't use iMovie on the iPad2. I suggest you follow the link at my earlier post and ask it there.

Is it even possible to import movies/videos to iPad2?.. I was able to watch my videos on iTunes but I just can't get it to even translate to iPad2.

Open your iMovie, then click "File -> Import Movies... But if your movie is not compatible with iMovie, you may need to convert the video to imovie supported video formats on Mac computer.
