    Romko,

You have to stop listening to idiots.  Really.

If you have the Hardware Monitor application installed, it will report a SINGLE pump if you have only one, and it will report TWO if you have a dual.

This is what you can expect to see reported in a single-pump G5 Quad, like mine

but I called a friend tonite and he told me the single pump reports the same way as the dual.. here are my temps to show you..

    CPU A Core 1 Diode: 106.1 F

    CPU A Core 2 Diode  104.6 F

    CPU B Core 1 Diode  107.9 F

    CPU B Core 2 Diode  117.1 F

So what?  What do you think those temperature readings are supposed to show relative to the issue of single versus dual pump, Romko?  Nothing!  Absoluely NOTHING!

From the horse's mouth, Romko.  From the highly qualified and skilled engineers, technicians and programmers who develop this tech software at Dr. Marcel Bresnik's:

With all the respect that I can muster, I must tell you that now I'm even less inclined to trust what you've been told about the need for keeping the rivets.

You don't have to be SO NASTY... Anyway, I don't have hardware monitor.. I use temperature monitor.. Is there another software out there(FREE I HOPE) that will tell me this stuff other than hardware monitor?

Since it appears that the good mods have seen fit to clean up the last few posts in the interest of civility, I'll repeat this solution for the benefit of Romko and future readers:

Download Hardware Monitor from the above linked site.  The free demo version will indicate to you what additional sensors are available for your machine once you unlock (buy) the application.  That will tell you if your machine has one or two pump sensors.

Hi to you all. I just bought a well-loved G5 2,5 Quad and now i'm wating for delivering. I've read several posts about G5's coolant leaks but I'd like to know little more about these two different types:

    http://www.mac-resource.com/parts/661-3729.gif

Can someone tell me if the dual pump model is the more safe and reliable, or the one is worth the other? According to the posts and forums I've found on the net, it seems the single pump one is the most affected by coolant leaks.
    Thank you
    Rob

The emphasized text in red is just to show the great degree of confusion around this issue.  No one seems to be sure, and no one has posted definitively labeled images of the pumps side by side that i have been able to locate.  It loks like moot point to me.
