Your warranty does NOT cover accidental damage, only manufacturing defects.

Go into your local Apple Store for an out of warranty replacement.  The cost will be roughly the equivalent of 200 US dollars.

Apple store staff told me to pay $200: they will not replace the glass, instead, they will give me a refurbished one.  While traveling New Orleans, I saw a small corner shop inside a shopping mall, and they replace the front glass for $150 and it would take about 20 mins.  I did not have the service because I was away from home. But at least I learned the price range.

That is correct.  The Apple Store does NOT repair phones.  They will replace with a refurbished unit.  If your unit is in warranty, there will be no charge.  Out-of-warranty price is the equivalent of 200 USD.
