I am experiencing some issues with my 2010 Macbook Pro 15 inch 2.4 Ghz.

First I upgraded the RAM to 8 gb, which has been working without any problems.

After some months I bought an Intel 510 Series 250 GB, and did a clean install with the stock SL DVD. A few days later I upgraded to Lion through the Mac app store.

With increasing frequency, I am met with the waiting symbol at the login screen, which keeps on forever and prevents me from logging in. Then I have to turn the Macbook of manually, and hope it won´t crash at next boot.

Anyone experiencing the same?

Any suggestions?

    Hello JorgenKS!

I am not experiencing the same, but let me guess a bit:

I suppose, you are expert enough to watch over the space on your HD. How much is left? 20 % free space would be good. Did you try to start with the shift-key, which disables in Lion the start options? Are you able to start like that?

Do you repair regularely your permissions? http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1452

Could you look into the error log with Console please, (Applications > Utilities), and look for some conflicts at start up?

    That's all for the moment
