I'm from Germany too and i don't' want afraid you but this kind of support doesn't help. But it's, sorry that's sound a little bit evil but i do not mean in this sense, "good" to hear that i'm not the only Kraut with this Problem.
I had send the Capture Data at August 12 to Apple Care and at August 30 i became the answer that "They know the Problem but at this time they can't fix it".
My BSOD History:
- Lion release day, buy and install with migration assistant -> BSOD
- clean install of Lion at the main HD -> BSOD
- finding this thread and install gfxCardStatus
- calling Apple Care and waiting for the answer of the technicians (capture data)
- installing 10.7.1 -> BSOD
- downgrade to Snow Leopard at main HD -> BSOD (not as often as with Lion)
- install Lion at a external hd (clean os without any programs) -> BSOD
- bringing the mac September 9 for repair to the Apple Store Alstertal (Hamburg)
- at September 21 became the answer that they can't do anything because the technician says it is a software problem.
- still having BSOD
I am not out of warranty but at this time i must say, that the only support i get was: "They know the Problem but at this time they can't fix it"
I'm waiting for 10.7.2 and hope that this update will fix the bug.
If not i thing it is something for the §440 BGB.

BSOD happening more and more frequently after connecting it to my company's Cisco VPN and Exchange system. It was only iPhoto causing them, until 2 days ago.
Mail is now erratically BSODing me, as well as random Safari BSODs.
Also, iMovie trips a BSOD on "Export using Quicktime." 30 seconds into a render, BSOD.

The article you mention clearly states the following:
Therefore, until Apple addresses this problem specifically with some sort of firmware update, then the only true fix for this issue at the moment is to have your system's motherboard replaced. Most people who have had this done have found the problem has disappeared completely.
While some people on this forum have been helped with a motherboard replacement, many have not, even after multiple attempts. I don't think this article is very accurate. IMO, the BSOD is caused by a complicated firmware / software issue.

Got a call from the Apple Store today saying they just finished the repairs on mine. Had to speak with a senior advisor after sending an email to Tim Cook and was in contact with Engineering about the issue. Second time I spoke to him he told me Engineering may have had a solution, being a specific logic board, and I should drop off the Macbook Pro at my Apple Store. Engineering was in charge of the show for this repair so it was Engineering ordering the specific parts and not the Apple Store geniuses. I made sure with the Genius on the phone that the problem was actually fixed (I showed him how to force the issue in-store) and he told me they could no longer force it. He also commented that this repair was one of the most time-consuming repairs he has seen.

I have repaired my MBP to replace the logic board once in this June. At this time, I had almost same symptom as this time (as you guys may noticed, the OS is Snow Leopard at this time). I sent my mac to Appleand they diagnosed this is a hardware malfunction and they repaired for free. Since I got it back from the repair, there was no symptom again.
In this July, I have upgraded the OS to Lion successfully and there was no problem at all until last week. Last week, suddenly I had this symptom again, blackscreen when coming back from screensaver, going to screensaver, browsing the Safari, just doing nothing, and so on,with non-responsive keyboard. All I could do is just force reboot manually. The log says like;

SinceI had this symptom many times in several days, I looked for any solutions/work-around for this. There is one thing that it seems working good so far.
Here is what I have done on my mac.
>find . -name '*windowserver*' -type f
>rm -rf ./com.apple.windowserver*
Then, reboot the machine.
Since I have done it described above, My mac doesn't have the same symptom ever again.
I'm not sure that this worked for this symptom, I hope this could be a helpto you guys.

Got my motherboard replaced 2 weeks ago. And till now, My MacBook 15'' 2010 has been working perfectly.
I knew this problem 3 months ago and that is the only solution I found so far.

Got my Macbook Pro back. Can't force the black screen anymore in Photobooth after a logic board replacement, so that's good. I'll keep you guys updated if anything changes. In the mean time you should do the following:
1. Call up Apple about the issue, tell them what's going on. Give them your specs, say that you're getting black screens & kernel panics and you're pretty sure you know how to fix the issue (More than likely you'll be transferred to a senior advisor).
2. Ask them to verify the fix with this specific issue with Engineering (mention the logic board, it may be a different model logic board than what Geniuses order for replacements), you can probably expect a call back the next day.
3. Once your advisor person at Apple figures out how Engineering wants to handle the issue, they'll ask you for your store's information and set up an appointment for you. At that time your advisor should contact the manager of your store and let them know that Engineering will be handling the issue.
4. When you bring it in, make sure you show the Genius taking it how to force the black screen (Full Screen Photobooth, Flip through effects).
5. When you get it back, try it out in the store before signing anything. Hopefully the issue will be resolved.

Been running on the inferior Intel Integrated (what is up with this thing? Its barely passable on standards 10 years ago) by way of GFXCardStatus.
I can't even turn on the nVidia chip without a Black Screen within 30 minutes. I don't even need to try, no apps open. I can almost set my watch to the panics and when they happen. I'm on a downgraded SL. I assume this is now a Firmware issue because there is no difference between SL and Lion anymore in terms of BSOD (for me).
And now even more salt in the wound....I crash often recently on the Intel (I think its unrelated)...screen freezes up, but no BSOD. /wrists
The Apple store on 5th Avenue in NYC (the largest apple store in the world) wanted $500 for a new mobo for an out of warrenty '10 MBP. This was only after extensive cajoling on my part (and yes they knew about the BSOD '10 MBP) and showing how easy it to replicate a BSOD. I said no thanks and for $300 more I can get a 17" Windows laptop brand new with double the VRAM and a superior video card. Yes Windows stinks, but so is being stuck with a $2000 paperweight that I can't even eBay because its damaged goods. Lord knows I hate Windows with a passion more than every person in this thread combined. But I have no recourse. My computer is barely above useless. I am picking my own poison.
I can't wait for a Firmware update anymore, its been 10 weeks since Lion and people in this thread are looking for breadcrumbs from Apple or grasping at straws, including myself. I guess I'll keep this for web browsing(if it can even handle that meager task anymore), if not, I'll toss it in the closet and forget about it.

I guess I'm one lucky "son 'a 'mo"... I experienced some BSOD's after installing Lion, but the 10.7.1 update fixed it for me. I've got a 2010 MBP with 8GB RAM and a 500GB 7200rpm HD.
I'm subscribed to this thread, have been for a couple of months... and it just KILLS me that Apple has dropped the ball on this as bad as they have. I am fully cognizant that these forums are generally all about "what went wrong," but this seems like such an endemic problem that it's almost beyond comprehension that Apple would not acknowledge it and, thus, cause loyal customers to consider going over to the "dark side."
Of course, I keed... I work with Windows boxes exclusively at work and they're not as bad as Mac adherents make them out to be, imho. I myself moved to Mac a few years ago for personal use and have loved the hardware and the OS, right up to when I started seeing so many peeps have to endure this terrible experience with no apparent support from Apple.
The truly scary thing about all this is: (to my mind anyway) Either Apple doesn't have a fix because they don't know what the root cause is. Or they can't fix it, period. And don't want to admit that to the world. Or, I supose, they do know the root cause and it would cost them WAY too much money to fix it "free of charge." So they stonewall their loyal customer base and force them to be "squeaky wheels" to get "greased."
One wonders if Apple will still rate at the top of Consumer Reports computer customer sat survey THIS year?
