When I try to migrate my MobileMe account to iCloud I get the following message:

 

"Move Error

 

We encountered a problem while moving your mail. You can try to move your account to iCloud again in a few hours.

 

You can continue to use MobileMe"

 

Not very helpful...has anyone figured out how to remedy this situation?

    Have you tried waiting a few hours like it says?

    @padrien - I have encountered a similar message:

     

    "Move Error

     

    We encountered a problem while moving your calendars. You can try to move your account to iCloud again in a few hours.

     

    You can continue to use MobileMe"

     

    I've waited over just 2 hours to no avail... goes back to same error. System status shows green... Any one out there get a similar message and then have it connect and finish the move?

    I tried after a few hours myself and have the same issue, MBP was upgraded to 10.7.2 and iPhone 4 has iOS 5.

    Now the error message reads: "You can try to move your account to iCloud again in one hour."

    Been trying for hours to do this, to no avail. I agree that existing me.com customers should have had priority or at least a dedicated server to do the transition. This is ridiculous.

    I dont even get that.I get:

     

    Please try again later.

    We are unable to move your account at this time.

    For updates, you can check the system status page.

     

    You cancontinue to use MobileMe.

     

    Well according to the system status page all services are working ok! Well the only heartning thing is that i'm not the only one! Hopefully they will fix it quickly.

    Same here - system status shows everything is working fine but they are unable to move my account - it's got to be just the volume, like all the previous big rollouts . Disappointing...

    Doesn't work for me either... I can click through all the preparation steps and confirm the terms of service, then it appears to start moving for a fraction of a second and immediately says "We are unable to move your account at this time." Looks like another botched rollout...

    Likewise fellas, Same issue with me. I do agree that current mobileme members should have priority, not happy right now. We shall see what happens in a few hours.

    HAHA, yeah I am going to wait until tomorrow. I have 10.7.2 and iOS 5. 2/3 isnt bad right?

    All of a sudden it started working for me. I'm now on iCloud.
