Oct 12, 2011 1:31 PM in response to WarGamerZby Westerhoff,Well my problem now isen't that it takes too many attempts cause I would just wait until all you Americans sleep, so I can update. However, when i now pull up the cable, it starts up, but show the "Plug into iTunes" display, and when I do it, it says that it found an iPhone ready to restore!? Don't know *** i have done...

Oct 12, 2011 1:34 PM in response to checkyourmirrorsby wetames,I got the same problem. I thought it might be due to antivirus software. So i tried it in another laptop too. But it didn't help. Then I changed the USB port and it worked smoothly.

Oct 12, 2011 1:35 PM in response to checkyourmirrorsby brunoevolution8,Hello everyone ... I had the error (3200) when the update was to iphone4.
After some experimentation I discovered.
1 - connect the usb cable original iphone
2 - restart the iphone
3 - restart the pc
4 - open itunes as admistrador
After trying 4 or 5 times ... and it's done -
Oct 12, 2011 1:45 PM in response to checkyourmirrorsby servie,It seems like there are at least 3 connections made during the update process. I finally got past the first two, but now I'm consistently getting error 3004 when iTunes says it's updating the iPhone's firmware. Anyone know for sure how many verification connections the restore process does during the course of restoration?

Oct 12, 2011 2:00 PM in response to gautamfromrenoby tjfrazer,Sorry, but that does not work absolutely. I did this a half hour ago and it did not help. Also, everyone needs to be careful AFTER doing this. Everytime you try to update, you think the backup is being done, but then after the error, they backup IS NOT THERE. If you then try to do a update using the Shift-Update button, you won't have a backup to restore from on the new software. If you deleted your backup, be sure to just SYNC your phone first WITHOUT the update. It will make a brand new backup. Then keep trying Shift-Update, find the update software on your computer that you downloaded and try to update. I've tried at least 20 times so far and errors, so I am giving up for now and will try again later. Just make sure your Backup is still there if you deleted it to try this method.
